Michael Phelps-The Greatest ever olympian?

Beijing olympics will be remembered as the hunting ground where phelps won 8 gold medals in swimming.That's an incredible super human effort by any swimmer.In the last olympics in athens he failed to break the record of Mark spitz's 7 golds in 1972 Munich olympics.This time phelps openly said that he is aiming the break the record set by spitz.On this account he said"I've said it all along, I want to be the first Michael Phelps, not a second Mark Spitz"
He said what he did.He not only won 7 golds but also won another gold to set a new record for any olympian.8 golds in a single edition.Its a superhuman effort.
Though the analysts try to arrive at a reason for his win like wide wingspan,suitable body structure for swimming etc....
But record is a record.He is a sporting phenomenon.His record speaks for him.
In the press conference after winning 8 golds he says""Records are always made to be broken no matter what they are.Anybody can do anything that they set their mind to."
Well,in the next olympics he might try for 9 golds.He will achieve it and even get more gold medals .The reason why i say is the vigour that he has in for achieving goals.
"I want to be the first Michael Phelps, not a second Mark Spitz"
