Kollywood-Path to Politics?

Tamil Cinema a.k.a kollywood and TamilNadu Politics can never be considered as different. They are twins. The trend started by Mr.MGR is now being adopted by everyone. The self procliamed names like

NO 1:Illaya Thalapathi,Chinna Thalapathi,Puratchi Thalapathi(dont know how many such thalapathi's will come up in the future)....

NO 2:Stars. Super star,Ultimate Star,Top star,Universal star...

NO3:then kalaigars such as Puratchi Kalaigar... (list is endless)

are ruling the roost. In every film of the so called heros, the storyline would be the same and the storyline would date back to 60's. Only the screenplay will be slightly tweaked. Every film will have a intro song where the hero will be workshiped as God. The tune, lines would be different but the bottomline of those songs goes like this "I am so and so.U should be like this.I will do this etc". I dont know what these heroes achieve through this. Every film will have "kuthu pattu" and some B grade songs with lines describing the anatomy of the female partner and too much skin show. They consider themselves as superheroes and understandably the fights are unimaginable.

Film after film, they repeat the same. The reason?

Every human particularly have secret liking about fame, money and especially power. Power, over the centuries is responsible for many civilizations, many battles, many conquests(watch Enginnering an Empire documentary series). These heroes, right from the day one, plan to start a party(For that matter any party in modern india never stick to their ideology(ideology-do they have one?)). The heroes always take the easire path to politics.(Films->rasigar mandram->Narpani Mandram->Party).

Recent times, all such films have turned to be box office disaster(irrespective of the hero). No longer TamilNadu recognizes such typed of movies. The days are gone and the heroes should understand it sooner than later. TamilNadu has started to recognize and appreciate the movies that make sense and that are close the real life. people should not encourage such heroes.

Faster Broadband - A Distant Dream for India

"In Japan, broadband service running at 150 megabits per second (Mbps) costs $60 a month. The fastest service available now in the United States is 50 Mbps at a price of $90 to $150 a month.

In London, $9 a month buys 8 Mbps service. In New York, broadband starts at $20 per month, for 1 Mbps.

In Iceland, 83 percent of the households are connected to broadband. In the United States, the adoption rate is 59 percent.

If you take out the countries that have made significant investment in fiber optic networks — Japan, Korea and Sweden — the United States is in the middle of the pack when it comes to network speed.

The large European countries have average download speeds ranging from 3.2 Mbps in Italy to 6.4 Mbps in Germany, according to a study by the Saïd Business School at Oxford. The United States has an average speed of 5.2 Mbps. The study looked at speeds in May 2008, as measured by consumers checking their connections on a Web site called Speedtest.net.

Japan was the standout, with an average speed of 16.7 Mbps. Sweden was 8.8 Mbps. And Korea averaged 7.2 Mbps."

But in india, for the general public, the fastest broadband available is 2 Mbps connection. When will India have
broadband service running at 150 megabits per second
